Eastern Florida State Women’s Golf Team Earns Second Place at Coastal Georgia Spring Invitational

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College women’s golf team placed second at the Coastal Georgia Spring Invitational at St. Simons Island in Georgia.

The Titans shot a 319 in the final round to finish with a 628 behind champion Southeastern University.

Sophomore Elise Boccabella shot a 73 in the final round to finish with a 149 to place second overall. Coastal Georgia’s Kristen Crooms won the tournament by one stroke.

Teammate Delia Timpy shot a 79 to place eighth overall while Valeria Fort had an 82 to tie for 12th place. Olivia Timpy and Kira Shellman each shot 85 in the final round.

“Tough conditions today as the wind blew a constant 12-18 mph,” Eastern Florida State College women’s golf coach Jamie Howell said. “Awesome job by Elise Boccabella and Delia Timpy hung in there well.”

The women’s golf team will compete in the Seminole State Spring Invitational March 9-10.
