EVENT SPOTLIGHT: 13th Annual Florida Marathon Weekend Set for Feb. 6-7, Seeking Volunteers

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The 13th Annual Florida Marathon Weekend is set for Feb. 6-7 and organizers are looking for volunteers.

“Volunteering for the Florida Marathon Weekend is great for school groups for high school students looking to complete hours, for families supporting their loved ones in the race or just come out to support us,” said event organizer Mirch Varnes.

Multiple spots are available, including 3-hour and 7-hour time blocks, on Sunday, February 7.

■ 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. – Packet Pick-Up
■ Marathon & 1/2 Marathon, 10K & 5K
■ Location – GRASSY AREA OPPOSITE of Front Street Park Civic Center. To the RIGHT of The Mansion Restaurant.

SUN – February 7, 2021
■ 5 a.m. to 5:45 a.m. (hard close) Packet Pickup for Full
■ 5 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. (hard close) Packet Pickup for Half
■ 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. (hard close) Packet Pickup for 5K
■ Marathon & 1/2 Marathon, 10k & 5K

COURSE PROFILE: Very scenic and mostly flat with four bridge crossings for the full and two for the 1/2 marathon; 20 musical acts; 20 miles of flat straight away route for marathoners and 9 for half-marathoners.

SUN – February 7, 2021
■ 6:10 a.m. – Full Marathon
■ 6:30 a.m. – Half Marathon
■ 6:50 a.m. – 5K + 10K
