BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Florida Tech midfielder Reid Chaconas has been selected a 2021 Preseason First Team All-American by USILA / Warrior and New Balance.

This is Chaconas’ second-time receiving preseason All-American recognition, as he earned second-team honors from Inside Lacrosse ahead of last season.

The Westminster, Maryland product was tabbed a first-team All-American by Inside Lacrosse following the 2020 season, making him the fourth player in program history to be named an All-American and the first to earn the first-team distinction.

Chaconas appeared in all eight games for the Panthers before the 2020 season was canceled due to COVID-19. He recorded 17 goals and four assists to go along with 15 ground balls.

He scored at least one goal in all eight games including a season-best four goals against No. 18 Saint Anselm.

Chaconas is a three-time All-Sunshine State Conference selection and currently ranks fifth in program history with 105 career points. His 86 career goals are just 10 off the program record of 96 set by former Panther Andrew Conley.
