Florida Highway Patrol responded to a deadly crash Monday morning involving a pedestrian on S. John Rhodes Blvd. and Rogers Place in Melbourne.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Florida Highway Patrol responded to a deadly crash Monday morning involving a pedestrian on S. John Rhodes Blvd. and Rogers Place in Melbourne.

The victim is identified as 41-year-old woman from Melbourne.

State troopers say the crash happened at 6:23 a.m.

The preliminary investigation reveals the driver, a 59-year-old woman from Melbourne, was traveling southbound on S. John Rhodes Blvd. and Rogers Place when she struck the victim who was walking in the middle of the road, according FHP.

The crash remains under investigation.
