National Weather Service Issues Wind Chill Advisory for Brevard, Expect Temperatures in Mid-30s Tonight

Advisory in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday

The National Weather Service Service has issued a Weather Alert for Brevard County with a Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The National Weather Service Service has issued a Weather Alert for Brevard County with a Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

Cold wind chills are expected with temperatures in the low to mid-30s, and west to northwest winds around 10 mph across the interior and 10 to 15 mph along the coast will lead to wind chills ranging from 26 to 33 degrees late tonight through early morning Wednesday.

■ Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 60. Wind chill values as low as 31 early. West northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.
■ Wednesday Night: Areas of frost after 5 am. Otherwise, clear, with a low around 36. Calm wind.
■ Thursday: Areas of frost before 9 am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 67. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
■ Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 48. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and the wind will combine to create low wind chills. Make sure you dress appropriately for the cold weather, including a coat, a hat and gloves.
