Charged with Armed Robbery Home Invasion, Carrying a Concealed Firearm

A 15-year-old Titusville suspect was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery Home Invasion and Carrying a Concealed Firearm after an incident on Sunday night in the Park Villas Apartment Complex.

BREVARD COUNTY • TITUSVILLE, FLORIDA – A 15-year-old Titusville suspect was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery Home Invasion and Carrying a Concealed Firearm after an incident on Sunday night in the Park Villas Apartment Complex.

According to Titusville police spokesperson Amy Matthews, at approximately 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, Titusville police officers responded to a report of an armed home invasion at a residence at Park Villas, located at 1023 South Park Avenue.

Space Coast Daily does not generally identify suspects under 18 years old.

“The preliminary investigation has revealed the suspect knocked on the victim’s front door and when the victim opened the door, he pointed a handgun at the victim, forced his way into the residence and demanded money and car keys,” said Matthews.

The suspect fled on foot when the victim did not comply with his demands. The victim was not injured.

According to Matthews, within 10 minutes the suspect, matching the witness’s description and with a handgun in his possession, was located by Titusville police officers in the parking area of the Morningside Apartment Complex, located at 1187 South Park Avenue, and taken into custody.

The suspect was transported to the Brevard County Juvenile Detention Center and placed in secured detention.
