U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Pilot to Visit Space Coast to Promote Upcoming Cocoa Beach Air Show

2021 Cocoa Beach Air Show scheduled for April 17-18, will include F-35 Lightning II Demo Team

ABOVE VIDEO: The 2021 Cocoa Beach Air Show is scheduled for April 17-18, featuring the USAF Thunderbirds. In addition to the Thunderbirds, the Air Force recently announced that the F-35 Lightning II Demo Team will perform.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Maj. Jason Markzon, better known as Thunderbird #8, will be making a visit to Cocoa Beach on Monday, February 8, in preparation for the 2021 Cocoa Beach Air Show, scheduled for April 17-18.

Maj. Markzon will be arriving at 4 p.m. at Patrick Space Force Base and will meet with the media shortly thereafter.

As Thunderbird #8, Maj. Markzon travels to show sites to coordinate the logistics for aerial demonstrations.

He also narrates the performances and provides orientation flights to support Air Force strategic communication goals and serves as the primary liaison between the Thunderbirds and the air show industry.

The 2021 Cocoa Beach Air Show will feature two signature military demonstration teams when it returns to Florida’s Space Coast.

In addition to the Thunderbirds, the Air Force recently announced that the F-35 Lightning II Demo Team will perform.
