Best Delta 8 Carts: What is the Delta 8 Tolerance Break and How Long Should it Be?
By Space Coast Daily // March 30, 2021
If you start vaping Delta 8 THC today, and you only take two puffs per dose to get your desired effects. After a while, your body will demand more. Like two puffs per dose won’t cut it anymore. You need to upgrade and take more.
Before you know it, you now need ten puffs to get the hit your desire.
When this happens, it’s said that your body has built a tolerance for the substance – i.e. you’ve gotten used to it.
This experience can be both frustrating and expensive because that would mean you have to vape over and again before you feel anything and spend more than usual on vapes.
The good news, however, is there’s a way you can cut out a tolerance buildup for any substance. But before I tell you that, I’ll like to first show you what the best Delta 8 vape carts are.
Best Delta 8 THC cartridges
■ FINEST LABS
■ Boston Hempire
I’ve decided to make Area52 the first brand on this list because of the strength of the vape cart. At 900 mg Pineapple Express Delta 8 in ½ ml vape, you don’t become tolerant to Area52 in one week. It takes a long while before your body begins to demand additional hits per dose.
Area52 is so strong users claim they get their desired effects in just one or two puffs. What this means is you don’t have to buy new carts every day of the week. With just one cart, you’re good to go for weeks. It lasts that long.
#2 Finest Labs
Finest Labs is not as strong as Area52, but we’ve included it on this list because we feel its strength is perfect for beginner vapers.
If you’re new to the world of Delta 8 vaping, you probably want to dip your legs in the waters gradually. And Finest Labs is the perfect cart for the job. It boasts a 500 mg Blueberry D8 strain in 1 ml.
That’s kinda low, no doubt, but it’s still too strong for beginners to build a tolerance to in just a few days.
#3 Boston Hempire
It is said that Boston Hempire’s Delta 8 products get users “higher” than high. And we can’t help but agree. At 920 mg per 1 ml vape, you can’t take too many Boston Hempire puffs without getting yourself knocked out.
If you’re not at an advanced level of D8 vaping, you will find that just one puff of Boston Hempire is enough to get you on the levels you want. And you will continue to take that one puff for months.
Boston Hempire’s carts are that strong!
What exactly is a tolerance buildup?
Tolerance buildup refers to a situation whereby the body has built a certain degree of resistance to a given amount of dosage of a particular substance. Once this stage is reached, the user begins to notice a significantly lessened effect, and a growing need to take increasingly-higher doses in order to achieve the desired benefits.
Usually, tolerance buildup happens after a user has taken too many dosages of the said substance.
As you might guess, different individuals experience a tolerance buildup for a given substance in different ways.
Let’s take beer for example. Some users report that after doing one bottle per day for a month, they reach a point where they no longer feel anything unless they double their dosage. Whereas some say the moment they take more than one bottle, they start to lose themselves even though they’ve been drinking for years.
That’s just the human body chemistry for you.
However, the strength of the substance being taken can also play a part. For example, if someone had been taking an Area52 D8 cart that weighs 900 mg, and then switches to a Finest Labs’ cart that weighs just 500 mg. That person might develop a tolerance buildup quickly for Finest Labs because it is not as strong as what they’re used to.
What can you do when your body has grown tolerant to a certain dosage of Delta 8?
From a user’s perspective, the most logical thing to do when one or two puffs of Delta 8 are no longer sufficient is to raise the dosage to say three or four puffs.
But guess what? This is not always the best solution! Why? Because, even if you increase to four puffs per dose, you’ll still reach another tolerance buildup for that dosage.
At that point, will you increase to six puffs? And then ten puffs? And on and on.
If you do, you risk becoming an ADDICT!
I’m sure nobody wishes to be that.
So what can you do when you notice your normal dosage is no longer sufficient to give you your desired effects?
Take a Tolerance Break!
What is a tolerance break?
A tolerance break refers to gaps in the use of Delta 8 that help the body reset and lose some of its resistances.
But how would you know it’s time for a tolerance break?
■ You need large doses to feel the same effects
If it is taking three, four, or five hits of D8 to get the same feeling a single puff used to give you, it may be time for a tolerance break.
■ The effects are fading fast
If you notice the effects wearing off far more quickly than usual, then it may be time for a break.
How to successfully take a Tolerance break
The general duration for the D8 tolerance break is about 7 to 14 days.
But as you’ll notice when you start, it is hard to steer clear for 14 days. The urge to take mini-doses will flood your body, and if care isn’t taken you might find yourself breaking the break.
However, discipline is key! It is what will help you weather the storm.
You need to constantly remind your body that you’re taking a break and not withdrawal. Anytime you feel the urge to take a puff (which wouldn’t work anyway), tell yourself, “Hold on buddy, six more days to go”.
And that should help quell the urge.
