Brevard County Sheriff Office Conducts Death Investigation After Shooting Incident in Merritt Island

BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation on Wednesday after an incident happened in Merritt Island near the 300 block of E. Hall Road.
“Deputies were called to the scene around 9:40 a.m. after receiving a call from a resident and discovered one person deceased,” said Brevard County Sheriff’s spokesman Tod Goodyear.
“We are working this case as a homicide, but until we get inside the house to do an investigation we are ruling it a suspicious death.”
