Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Seek to Sponsor Select Candidates to Attend Law Enforcement Academy

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is currently seeking to fully sponsor candidates who would like to attend the law enforcement academy and then join our BCSO family to serve as Deputy Sheriff with our agency.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office welcomes future criminal justice professionals who strive for greatness and are interested in joining the nearly 1,600 proud men and women of our agency.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for a limited number of paid sponsorships to the law enforcement academy.
The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office will provide full time benefits for the employee and an hourly salary of $15.91, and the agency will also cover the full cost of their tuition, uniforms, books, State Officer Certification Exam and required equipment. Students are hired as a “Deputy Trainee” and are full-time civilian employees of the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon graduation from the academy, and successfully passing the State Officer Certification Exam, the candidate will be activated as Deputy Sheriff and will receive a yearly salary of $44,137.60.
Upon exiting the Field Training Program, Road Patrol Deputies receive an additional 12-hour shift differential of $.50 an hour for day shift and an additional 12-hour shift differential of $.75 an hour for those assigned to the night shift.
