Cocoa Fire Rescue Promotes Four New Members to the Department

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Four Cocoa Fire Rescue recruits have joined the ranks of the department.

Cocoa Fire Department provides fire protection and prevention, firefighting, rescue, Advanced Life Support, and Hazardous Materials response capabilities to prevent or minimize injury, loss of life, and damage to property and the environment.

The department serves the community from three fire stations, responding to some 5,500 incidents per year.

Emergency incidents vary from emergency medical to motor vehicle accidents to structure and wildland fires, often with a response time of fewer than five minutes.

Forty-three members of the Cocoa Fire Department are certified firefighters and all are either Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic certified.
