BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College women’s basketball player Natalia Beaumont was named the Region VIII Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The sophomore from Emu Heights, Australia had a big week for the Titans, averaging 19 points, 12 rebounds and five blocks in three games. She had a season-high 20 points in two of the three games this week and her 16 rebounds against St. Petersburg was also a season-high.

The forward has six double-doubles this season and is averaging 12.9 points and 9.2 rebounds per game in 12 games.

It is the first time Beaumont has been named the Region VIII Player of the Week this season and the second time a member of the women’s basketball team has been the best in the state.

Teammate Stephanie Torres was the Region VIII Player of the Week in February.
