Eastern Florida State’s Roneice Pharoah, Garrett Evans Named Athletes of the Week

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College softball player Roneice Pharoah and baseball player Garrett Evans are named Athletes of the Week for the week ending Feb. 28.

Pharoah helped the softball team to a 4-3 week including a win over No. 1 College of Central Florida last week.

The freshman from the U.S. Virgin Islands went 5-for-13 with two doubles, two home runs, scored four times, and drove in nine runs.

Evans helped the baseball team to a 2-2 week, going 4-for-10 with two doubles and two home runs, scored four times, and drove in five runs. The redshirt freshman from Apopka is hitting .305 in 19 games this season.

The baseball team will host TNXL Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at Bruce Bochy Field while the softball team will be at Titan Softball Complex Thursday evening for a doubleheader with Bay College beginning at 4 p.m.
