BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – After guiding Florida Tech to its first Sunshine State Conference Tournament win and semifinal appearance since 2012, Sesan Russell has been named to the 2021 SSC All-Tournament Team.

Russell, a native of London, England, is the ninth Panther all-time to earn SSC All-Tournament honors and the first since Anthony Jackson did so in 2012.

Saint Leo, who won the 2021 SSC Championship 83-70 over Florida Southern on Sunday, placed three Lions on the six-person All-Tournament Team, including Frank Webb (MVP), Rusty Moorer, and Jared Coomer. FSC had two representatives on the team in Jalyn Hinton and EJ Dambreville.

Russell averaged 24 points, five rebounds, four assists, and 1.5 steals and made 13-14 from the free-throw line over the first two rounds of the tournament.

Russell paced the Panthers with 35 points, seven rebounds, and five assists to lead Florida Tech to a 90-84 double-overtime win over Tampa in the quarterfinals.

The junior then tallied 13 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals in the 78-68 semifinal loss to Saint Leo.
