Thomas William Hart, age 81, passed away on March 20, 2021, at Melbourne Regional Hospital. He joined the United States Coast Guard in 1957 and retired after serving proudly for 20 years, as a Chief Warrant Officer-4. He then continued his career in Communications until retirement at age 64.

Was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department and Harbor City Volunteer Ambulance Squad

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Thomas William Hart, age 81, passed away on March 20, 2021, at Melbourne Regional Hospital. He was the husband of Nancy S.W. Hart. They shared 59 years of marriage plus the 6 years they dated.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Thomas and Marie Hart. He joined the United States Coast Guard in 1957 and retired after serving proudly for 20 years, as a Chief Warrant Officer-4. He then continued his career in Communications until retirement at age 64.

He was a member of the Volunteer Fire Department and Harbor City Volunteer Ambulance Squad, where he was an EMT and then became a Paramedic. He was a proud member of the Vietnam Veterans of Brevard and US Coast Guard Combat Veterans. He was also a member of the VFW, The American Legion, the Am Vets, and the NRA.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, his daughter Nancy Chandler, his daughter Rachel Orr and husband Randy, his son Stanley Hart and wife Linda, his son Cameron Dunlap and wife Donna, his sister Marge Crouch and husband Chip, 16 Grandchildren, 23 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Thomas and Marie Hart, his son Thomas William Hart Jr. and two of his sisters, Virginia Roper and Diane Rath.

Visitation to be held at Fountainhead Funeral Home at 7359 Babcock St SE Palm Bay, Florida 32909, on Sunday, March 28 at 1 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 2 p.m., with a reception afterward.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Diabetes Association or charity of your choice.
