BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue responded to the scene of a residential fire Friday afternoon on the 400 block of St. Charles Avenue on North Merritt Island.

Officials say the occupants inside the house made it out safely, but the home suffered significant damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
