BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is now offering student internship opportunities to students of Criminal Justice, Public Administration and related fields of study.

As an agency we are very proud of the relationships we share with Schools and Universities throughout the state who are educating Florida’s future criminal justice professionals. With a reputation for excellence, the BCSO welcomes those future criminal justice professionals who are interested in gaining a working knowledge and valuable practical experience in their chosen field of study.

As part of the internship program the Sheriff’s Office will accommodate work and school schedules so that students can rotate through each facet of our organization.

Most educational institutions offer course credits for successfully completing an internship program, so please contact your academic advisor and our Sheriff’s Office team for more information.

Internships are offered throughout the year in conjunction with academic semesters and offer a great opportunity to gain valuable information about our profession and agency while also offering future employment opportunities in all areas of our agency such as Deputy Sheriff, Corrections Deputy, Jail Operations, Communications Dispatcher, Animal Enforcement Officer, Animal Care Technician, Security Officer and various Technical, Analytical, and Clerical Positions.

To qualify for a BCSO Internship students must be enrolled in an accredited university and successfully complete the background screening review.
