over $22,000 available in General Awards

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – The Florida Sport Fishing Association will host the 52nd Annual Offshore Slam fishing tournament on Saturday, June 5.

Early registration is now open for this family-friendly outdoor sporting event. Online raffle tickets are also available at that site.

“Proceeds support marine education in local junior and high schools, building offshore artificial reefs, kids fishing clinics, and the fishing sports community throughout east-central Florida,” said FSFA club president Clayton Kimball aka “Captain K.”

“All ages are welcome. There are Ladies and Junior angler prize categories this year too,” Captain K added.

More than $22,000 is available in General Awards, including $5,000 for the Big Fish Prize, and $3,000 for General Slam.

A Captain’s party will be held Friday, June 4, at Kiwanis Island Park Recreation Center on Merritt Island at 5:30 p.m. and the public is invited.

Early registrations before May 23 will receive two free $5 raffle tickets, 1 tournament t-shirt and 1 raffle ticket for  the early registration special raffle. The first 120 teams to register will receive a Captain’s Bucket.
