Florida Tech’s Brett Parrish Named Sunshine State Player of the Week, Recorded 8 RBI’s Against Saint Leo

Brett Parrish posted .454 batting average, going 5-for-11 with three runs

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Brett Parrish was announced Sunshine State Player of the Week for his excellent performance at the plate against Saint Leo this past weekend.
The sophomore posted a .454 batting average going 5-for-11 with three runs, eight RBI’s, a home run, a stolen base, a walk, a hit by pitch, and went perfect in right field with six putouts.
“Brett had a bunch of big hits for us this weekend, said head coach Greg Berkemeier.” He has been working all season consistently and was able to see the fruits of his labor this week.”
In-game one, the Panthers’ right fielder went 1-for-2, recording a run, an RBI, a walk, and a hit by a pitch on the 9-1 victory over the Lions.
In-game two, Parrish went 3-for-5 with a run, three RBI’s, and a stolen base on the series clinched, 10-6 win.
In-game three, Parrish recorded one hit in four at-bats; however, the hit was a grand slam to center field to cut the Lions lead to one run. Brett finished the game 1-for-4 with a run, four RBI’s, and a home run.
