BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police Officer Pennington, who is active with the Autistic community, learned that a special needs group with ABGworks.Inc needed a new basketball hoop.

Officer Pennington received help from the Winn-Dixie on Babcock Street in Palm Bay and was able to present the group with a brand new basketball hoop.

The Palm Bay Police Department is taking part in Autism Awareness month for the rest of April and is committed to Autism awareness and education. All officers received training in responding to persons with Autism Spectrum Disorders.

“Palm Bay even has two police cars wrapped in honor of Autism awareness that you have probably seen driving around Palm Bay. Do your best to be kind, and take into consideration what people might be going through in their daily lives,” said Palm Bay Police Department.
