BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Port Canaveral’s fleet operations received an exceptional distinction by being recognized as among the best one hundred fleets in North and South America, thanks to the hard work of Fleet Manager Brian Carroll and his team, Brett Smith and John Worthington.

The Port was named one of the 100 Best Fleets in the Americas for 2021, ranked at No. 32.

The Canaveral Port Authority was one of only two Ports to make the city-dominated list, with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey ranked below at No. 40.

Now in its 21st year, the Best Fleets program recognizes top-performing public fleet operations in North and South America through an annual application-based process that evaluates such criteria as accountability, use of technology and information, and collaboration.

Carroll had been applying for inclusion on the Best Fleets list since 2018, making fleet improvements each year. With his efforts, the Port earned honorable mentions in 2018 and again in 2019.

For 2020, the CPA earned a spot on the Top 100 list, ranked at No. 76. The list includes an impressive list of large and small fleets from around the U.S.
