Truck Driver from Melbourne Dies in Orange County Crash on SR-528 After Striking Light Pole

A 43-year-old man from Melbourne has died on Saturday after a box truck he was driving crashed on SR-528 in Orange County early Saturday morning.

ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA – A 43-year-old man from Melbourne has died on Saturday after a box truck he was driving crashed on SR-528 in Orange County near mile marker 16.5 early Saturday morning.

Authorities were called to the scene around 3:45 a.m. when the truck left the roadway, struck a light pole and ended up in a tree line off SR-528.

State troopers say they suspect the possibility that the driver suffered. a medical episode, shortly before the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
