Mary Ellen McCormack Mervis, age 73, of Cocoa, Florida, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021, at the Hospice Center of Cape Canaveral Hospital. She was Chairman of the Board of Mervis Consulting Services of Cocoa.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA –  Mary Ellen McCormack Mervis, age 73, of Cocoa, Florida, passed away Thursday, May 20, 2021, at the Hospice Center of Cape Canaveral Hospital.

Mary Ellen was born on February 24, 1948, to Francis X. and Christina (nee: DeVincent) McCormack. She is survived by her husband, Michael Mervis, daughter Tricia O’Leary (Michael) and son Timothy Jankowski (Emilia).

She is further survived by her brothers, Frank (Sharon), Jerry (JoAnne), James (Carol), and Michael (Janice), brother-in-law Jeff Mervis and numerous Mervis and McCormack nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Patricia and her first husband, Michael Jankowski.

Mrs. McCormack Mervis was Chairman of the Board of Mervis Consulting Services of Cocoa, Florida and founding International Baccalaureate coordinator at Ronald Wilson Reagan High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Mary Ellen was a graduate of St. Agnes Grade School in Butler, Wisconsin, Divine Savior High School, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and attended St. Norbert College in Green Bay and graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

A gathering of students, friends and family in celebration of Mary Ellen’s life will be held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 21 from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at 1451 Renaissance Place, 1451 Prospect Avenue. Mr. Mervis will offer remembrances at 6 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the Vera J. Zilber Music Department at Ronald Wilson Reagan High School or the scholarship program at St. Joan Antida, both in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
