SHERIFF WAYNE IVEY: The song in the above video, “Heart Bleeds Blue” was written and performed by my daughter, Janna Ivey who has sadly, seen way too many funerals of Officers throughout her life as the daughter of a career Law Enforcement Officer.
BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – This entire week serves as National Police Memorial Week that honors fallen Law Enforcement Officers throughout our country.
The members of your Brevard County Sheriff’s Office serve every day to protect our citizens. They are some of the most dedicated men and women in our profession as they serve with honor, commitment, and courage to protect our community against the forces of evil.
The song in the above video, “Heart Bleeds Blue” was written and performed by my daughter, Janna Ivey who has sadly, seen way too many funerals of Officers throughout her life as the daughter of a career Law Enforcement Officer.
Janna is accompanied with acoustics by Corporal Jay Martinez of our agency and the two performed the song tonight at the Police Hall of Fame Memorial Services to honor all of those who were killed in the line of duty.
We ask that you please keep the families, friends and partners of America’s Fallen Heroes in your thoughts and prayers!
