Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Identifies Person Found Dead Inside Submerged Vehicle in Malabar

Robert Satterlee, 67, from Palm Bay found dead

Robert Satterlee, 67-years old, from Palm Bay was discovered after a boater contacted the Sheriff’s Office stating he had struck a submerged object as he was launching his boat.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office has identified the deceased person that was found yesterday afternoon inside a submerged vehicle near a boat ramp at the west end of Malabar Road.

Robert Satterlee, 67-years old, from Palm Bay was discovered after a boater contacted the Sheriff’s Office stating he had struck a submerged object as he was launching his boat.

Mr. Satterlee had been reported as missing/endangered from the city of Palm Bay on June 15, 2021.

Based on the investigation to date, there is no reason to believe the death resulted from foul play.
