Brevard Fire Rescue Responds to House Fire in Port St. John, No Injuries Reported

BREVARD COUNTY • PORT ST. JOHN, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue responded to a fire Thursday afternoon on the block of 6100 Stillwater Ave. in Port St. John.

The fire on Stillwater Avenue in Port Saint John appears to have started from roofing work being done by contractors.

“Crews did an outstanding job limiting the damage to the roof area of origin, the attic space below, and the room immediately underneath,” said a BCFR spokesperson.

There were no injuries and the family is able to stay on the property.

The fire was first reported around 3:58 p.m.

The Assistant Fire Marshall is on scene investigating.
