Brevard Public Schools 2021 Summer Fine Arts Theatre Workshop to Present ‘Singin’ in the Rain’

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Brevard Public Schools 2021 Summer Fine Arts Theatre Workshop, in partnership with Phoenix Foundation Morning Glow, will present “Singin’ in the Rain” on July 1 and July 2 at at the Merritt Island High School Performing Arts Center, located at 100 Mustang Way.
“The Summer Fine Arts Theatre Workshop is proud to have students, employees, and local professionals from all over the county come together to produce a full-length stage musical in just a few weeks. Students participate in all aspects of the production from tech to performance,” said Andrea Brown.
“Singin’ in the Rain” is under the direction of Palm Bay High’s theatre teacher Tammy Allen and features students from the north side of Brevard County, from Viera to Titusville.
Ethan Costanilla of Merritt Island High takes the stage as Don Lockwood with Titusville High’s Jacob Philips, who plays the fun-loving sidekick, Cosmo Brown.
Leading ladies include Christal Scott of Viera High and Astronaut’s Isabella Alaimo, who will take the stage as Kathy Seldon and Lina Lamont respectively.
“Plus our talented tech crew will make it rain on stage!” said Brown.
The Summer Fine Arts Theatre Workshop would not be possible without the generous partnership with Phoenix Foundation Morning Glow.
“Phoenix Foundation Morning Glow is excited to partner with BPS to provide Brevard County high school students with the opportunity to participate in the Summer Fine Arts Theatre Workshops,” said Carla Smith, Phoenix Foundation administrator.
