Eastern Florida State Foundation Promotes Tonya Cherry, Cindy Kane to Co-Executive Director

EFSC: These new leadership roles will strengthen relationships with donors, alumni

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – The Eastern Florida State College Foundation recently announced that Tonya Cherry and Cindy Kane have been promoted to Co-Executive Directors.

Ms. Cherry will serve as the Executive Director of Operations and Ms. Kane will serve as the Executive Director of Development and Strategic Engagement.

“Tonya and Cindy have done an amazing job for the foundation during a very difficult time caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Jack Parker, EFSC Vice President of External Affairs.

“These new leadership roles will strengthen relationships with donors and alumni, positioning the EFSC Foundation to better serve our students.”

Tonya Cherry joined the EFSC Foundation in 2016 as the Donor Relations Coordinator. Prior to that, she served as an accountant at the Moletteire Injury Law Firm. (EFSC image)

Cherry joined the EFSC Foundation in 2016 as the Donor Relations Coordinator. Prior to that, she served as an accountant at the Moletteire Injury Law Firm.

She also worked for both the State of Florida and Florida State University before deciding to stay at home to raise two children.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Florida State University and has an extensive background in special event fundraising.

Cindy Kane joined the EFSC Foundation in 2018 as the Coordinator of Development. Prior to that, she served as Senior Director of Human Resources for the Canaveral Port Authority and held progressively responsible positions with Harris Corporation. (EFSC image)

Kane joined the EFSC Foundation in 2018 as the Coordinator of Development. Prior to that, she served as Senior Director of Human Resources for the Canaveral Port Authority and held progressively responsible positions with Harris Corporation.

She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising from the University of Florida. Where she is inducted into the College Hall of Fame. She earned a Master’s Degree in Technology from the University of Miami.

Her additional development includes Leadership courses at the University Of Virginia Darden School Of Business, along with numerous certificates in leadership, assessment, facilitation, and quality.
