GREENVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (WITN) – Former President Donald Trump will be the keynote speaker at the North Carolina Republican GOP Convention dinner in Greenville Saturday night.
This is one of the former president’s first speaking events since leaving the White House.
Many of the party faithful like California Republican Delegate and North Carolina native, Brian Hawkins, are hoping Trump’s speech will strengthen the unity in the party.
“Obviously there’s a division within the party right now, and we’re trying to really bring it together. You know you have so many different ideologies, but given the fact that you know, President Trump really did bring a strong voice. A strong will of fighting for the American people. It’s time for us to really get back to some of those core principles.,” said Hawkins.
