Quick-acting Dean saved citizen pinned under a car in city hall parking lot

BREVARD COUNTY • PALM BAY, FLORIDA – Palm Bay Police Department’s Desk Booking Specialist Latisha Dean was recently awarded the Palm Bay Hero award.

She received this award due to actions she took in February when a citizen became pinned under a car in Palm Bay’s city hall parking lot.

Dean heard the cries for help and immediately ran to render first aid and her quick actions and instinct aided in preventing serious injuries to the citizen.

“The Palm Bay Police Department values its employees and their contributions as the strength of the organization,” said city officials. “They take pride in serving the citizens of Palm Bay each and every day.”
