Statewide Manhunt Underway for Armed Suspect Who Shot Daytona Police Officer in the Head Wednesday Night

DAYTONA BEACH, FLORIDA – Daytona Beach Police announced on Thursday that they are searching for 29-year-old Othal Wallace who shot a police officer in the face Wednesday night.
Police say the shooting happened when the officer was investigating a suspicious incident in the area.
Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood has posted a $100,000 reward for information that leads to the to the arrests of Wallace
Police consider Wallace armed and dangerous.
Authorities say Wallace is likely driving a gray 2016 Honda HRV with a California license plate number 7TNX532.
The police officer is currently in critical condition.
