BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Two brothers were arrested earlier this week by the Cocoa Police Department after ongoing surveillance operations discovered active drug transactions at a local park.

The suspects are identified as Luvern Harvey, 52, of Merritt Island, and Levi Harvey, 50, of Cocoa.

Both were taken into custody by the Cocoa Police Department on drug related charges.

Luvern Harvey is facing charges of trafficking MDMA and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He was found with approximately 28 grams of MDMA, marijuana individually packaged for sale, and two loaded firearms, one of which was reported stolen from Palm Bay.

Levi Harvey faces a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

“We are going to continue to proactively monitor the activity in this park to make sure we address and resolve the issues and concerns in this area,” said Cocoa Police Department Chief Evander Collier IV.

“This park belongs to the people of this community and we are committed to making it a safe place where they can enjoy time with neighbors, friends and family.”
