This crash damaged the water main and power lines

ABOVE VIDEO: Earlier today, a crash took place in Cocoa Beach causing a vehicle to hit a power line on A1A.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – Earlier today, a crash took place in Cocoa Beach causing a vehicle to hit a power line on State Road A1A.

Traffic was shut down in both directions on A1A. The car hit the fire hydrant, 7-Eleven sign and a utility pole, according to Cocoa Beach Fire Department spokesman.

The Cocoa Beach Fire Department, Cocoa Beach Police Department, and FPL shut down traffic until 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 17.

Employees of the City of Cocoa Utilities had to shut off water to the area due to the crash.

No injuries were reported.
