Brevard County Fire Rescue Extinguish Structural Fire Caused by Window AC Unit in West Melbourne

Four people living in the structure will need the assistance of the American Red Cross

BREVARD COUNTY • WEST MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue crews extinguished a structural fire near the 40 block of Annette Drive in West Melbourne on Monday.

The Brevard County Fire Rescue units discovered fire and smoke on arrival and quickly extinguished the blaze.

“The fire appears to be caused by a window AC unit and extended into one room of the manufactured home,” said a Brevard County Fire Rescue official on social media.

The two adults and two children that were living in the structure will need the assistance of the American Red Cross due to the condition of the home.

There are no reports of injuries.
