BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue dedicated a new rescue vehicle and capability at the Linear Trail in the Brevard Zoo.

The push-in and ribbon-cutting ceremony unveiled the new Yamaha Viking VI off-road vehicle which will service the 3-mile limited access trail.

The vehicle was purchased with impact fees and Brevard County Fire Rescue’spartners with Brevard County Parks & Recreation Department and the Brevard Zoo donated the building and land to house the vehicle.

This vehicle was just used on Sunday to make access to a seizure victim about a mile from the trailhead.

The Brevard County Fire Rescue thanks those who attended today’s event in the blazing heat today, including District 4 Commissioner Curt Smith.
