Brevard Fire Rescue Hosts Ceremony Reuniting Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivors With First Responders

First responders were recognized from Brevard Fire Rescue, Melbourne Fire Department

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue hosted a Sudden Cardiac Arrest Ceremony, where cardiac arrest survivors Joseph Selby and Jeannette Burrill were reunited for the very first time with the first responders that saved their lives.

The following individuals were recognized from Brevard County Fire Rescue and Melbourne Fire Department:

■ BCFR Paramedic Anthony Palmeri

■ MFD LT. Jason Young

■ MFD LT. Christopher Carroll

■ MFD DE. Johnny Delaney

■ MFD FF. Taylor Brown

■ MFD FF. Juan Sabio Mira

■ MFD FF. Jason Petronella

■ MFD FF. Robert Kleinschnitz

■ MFD FF. Kenneth Bash

Personnel from both agencies worked collaboratively, divided, and mitigated the high-priority medical emergency which has resulted in favorable patient outcomes.
