Cocoa Beach Police Department receives an impeccable assessment
BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA BEACH, FLORIDA – This past week, assessors with the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation performed an on-site assessment of every aspect of the Cocoa Beach Police Department’s organization, management, operations, and administration, while ensuring their compliance with more than 250 professional standards.
The Cocoa Beach Police Department received an impeccable assessment and will be recommended for full re-accreditation in October.
CBPD’s initial accreditation was in February 2015. The first re-accreditation for CBPD was in October 2018. Assessments for re-accreditation occur every three years.
Assessors inspected Cocoa Beach Police vehicles and asked their personnel many questions related to policies and procedures.
