Eastern Florida State Set to Host Women’s Basketball Shootout Starting November 5

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Eastern Florida State College will be hosting the Florida College’s Women’s Basketball Shootout on Nov. 5 and 6 at Titan Field House on the Melbourne campus.

The tournament will feature eight games over two days with the Titans playing the final game of each day.

Chipola, Gulf Coast, Santa Fe, Indian River State College, Pensacola, Florida State College of Jacksonville, and Miami Dade will all be playing in the tournament.

Four of the eight teams in the tournament made the state tournament including both teams that played for the state title. Chipola beat Gulf Coast 55-45 in the championship game and advanced to the national tournament where they made it to the semifinals.

Eastern Florida State College, who went 12-8 last season, will play Gulf Coast on Friday and then wrap up the two-day tournament against Indian River State College on Saturday.

St. Petersburg will also be hosting eight games on the same days in the other half of the tournament.
