BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is seeking suspect Portia Lynn Sheppard in the latest edition of “Fishing for Fugitives,” as Sheriff Wayne Ivey comes to you from P.O.W./M.I.A  Park in Melbourne, Florida.

In this episode, Sheriff Ivey is seeking Portia Lynn Sheppard who is wanted for:

■ Violation of Durg Offender Probation Reference to Possession of Heroin,

■ Sale or Delivery of Heroin

Sheriff Ivey says Sheppard is known to be in the “waters of the Cocoa area” and was last “hooked” on March 30, 2021.

Sheppard has no bond.

“If you’re the ‘Catch of the Day,’ you know what to do, turn yourself in and do the right thing – don’t make our Fugitive Unit come to get you. Because if you don’t turn yourself in, I promise you, they aren’t far from your house,” said Sheriff Ivey.

“Let’s make the Space Coast a safer place to live by assisting the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in the apprehension of wanted fugitives, or in this case, the chance to “Hook ’em and Book ’em.”
