BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office is seeking suspect Veranta Verl Banks in the latest edition of “Fishing for Fugitives,” as Sheriff Wayne Ivey comes to you from Ballard Park in Melbourne, Florida.

In this episode, Sheriff Ivey is seeking Veranta Verl Banks who is wanted for:

■ Violation of probation REF sell, manufacture, delivery of cocaine.

■ Possession of cocaine.

Sheriff Ivey says Sheppard is known to be in the “waters of the Melbourne area” and was last “hooked” on November 24, 2020.

Banks has no bond.

“If you’re the ‘Catch of the Day,’ you know what to do, turn yourself in and do the right thing – don’t make our Fugitive Unit come to get you. Because if you don’t turn yourself in, I promise you, they aren’t far from your house,” said Sheriff Ivey.

“Let’s make the Space Coast a safer place to live by assisting the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office in the apprehension of wanted fugitives, or in this case, the chance to “Hook ’em and Book ’em.”
