In-Home Healthcare Worker Arrested After Stealing Jewelry Worth Over $13,000 From 88-Year-Old Cocoa Beach Victim

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff’s Office and Cocoa Beach Police have arrested an in-home healthcare worker after she allegedly stole over $13,000 worth of jewelry from a Cocoa Beach woman.
Masseline Milfort Joseph, 46, of Palm Bay, was taken into custody Monday evening, July 12, following an alleged theft of jewelry valued over $13,000 from an 88-year-old Cocoa Beach victim, and selling the items at pawn shops in the Palm Bay area.
Joseph was working as an in-home healthcare worker at the victim’s home in the Four Season’s condominiums, 3799 S. Banana River Blvd. throughout the month of April 2021 when it is believed the theft occurred.
Cocoa Beach Police Detective Ezequiel Rodriguez was able to locate some of the stolen jewelry through six pawn shop transactions, and developed probable cause for Joseph’s arrest.
Joseph was charged with Grand Theft; False Verification of Ownership to a Pawnbroker (6 counts) and Dealing in Stolen Property (6 counts).
She is being held at the county jail on a $75,000 bond.
