Melbourne Police Seek to Locate Suspect Captured on Surveillance Stealing Taillights Off Vehicle

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Melbourne Police are requesting assistance from the community in identifying a suspect captured on surveillance stealing taillights from a customer’s Dodge Ram 1500 truck parked at an auto repair shop on Aurora Road in Melbourne.

The unidentified suspect entered the parking lot at approximately 7:30 a.m. on June 27, 2021, driving a newer model blue Dodge SUV.

“He appeared to remove the bolts that secured the taillights to the victim’s truck. The same subject returns at approximately 9 p.m. driving a white crew cab Dodge truck and pulls the lights off the victim’s vehicle and stealing them.” said a Melbourne Police spokesperson.

The suspect is described as a white male, 45-55 years old, long gray ponytail and multiple tattoos on both arms.
