NOW HIRING! Melbourne Orlando International Airport to Host Job Fair Featuring Major Employers July 20

Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) is hosting a job fair on Tuesday, July 20 at the Melbourne Airport Terminal. MLB and its major partners will be hiring for all types of positions in airport operations, aircraft manufacturing and maintenance, construction, and more. (MLB image)

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, FLORIDA – Nearly 20 major employers will come together at Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) on Tuesday, July 20 for the MLB Airport Job Fair seeking to fill more than 100 job openings in aircraft manufacturing, airport and airline operations, construction, customer service and more.

The job fair is open to the public and takes place from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. in the MLB Terminal.

The address to the terminal is 1 Air Terminal Parkway in Melbourne and parking will be free for all attendees. It is recommended that job seekers bring updated resumes and dress to impress with the possibility of on-site interviews.

Participating airport tenants include Embraer Executive Jets, STS Mod Center, Satcom Direct, Sheltair Aviation, and Avidyne Corporation. Employers in the airport terminal will also be participating, including ticketing and ground handling contractor Menzies Aviation, concessionaire Metz Culinary Management, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Enterprise Holdings which operates Alamo, Enterprise and National rental cars.

Numerous staffing companies and construction companies associated with the airport’s $61 million Terminal Project will also be looking to fill positions.

“As our airport continues to grow, so will the workforce at and around it,” said MLB Executive Director Greg Donovan, A.A.E. “The airport and many of our tenants are experiencing challenges around hiring and we’re hopeful that bringing together the top employers with competitive pay, and even bonuses, will attract the right talent from our community.”

Several employers are offering hiring bonuses, including $1,000 bonuses for Menzies Aviation ticketing and passenger service agents, and $1,000 bonuses for select TSA positions.

In addition to exploring new job opportunities, every attendee will have the chance to enter to win gift cards for MLB’s newest airline partner Allegiant to celebrate its new service to Nashville, Pittsburgh and Concord, N.C. starting this November.

Popular food trucks Soul Hibachi, Space Coast Sliders and Just Cupcakin’ Around will also be on site for the duration of the event.

Melbourne Orlando International Airport serves east Central Florida, including Brevard and Indian River counties, and is responsible for generating nearly $3 billion per year in local economic activity.

The airport, which has three runways and a 200,000-square-foot terminal, is currently served by Delta Air Lines and American Airlines.
