BREVARD COUNTY • MERRITT ISLAND, FLORIDA – Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey thanks everyone who participated in the 3rd Annual Independence Day Parade hosted by the Sheriff’s Office and Veteran’s Memorial Center.

The following is a message from Sheriff Wayne Ivey:

With over 40 floats and displays, the parade was a huge success as hundreds of spectators drove by in their red, white, and blue costumes and decorated vehicles to show their amazing love for our country.

While the rain initially tried to run us off, we all stayed put as a little rain is never going to keep Brevard County from celebrating the many freedoms we enjoy in this great nation.

I truly can’t thank everyone enough who participated to make the parade such a success and of course all of the spectators who celebrated our nation’s Independence with us. And also a huge thank you to all of our agency members who came out wearing their blue “Independence Day” t-shirts to show our community how much we love our country and citizens.
