new rule goes into effect on Sept. 3, 2021
BREVARD COUNTY • PORT CANAVERAL, FLORIDA – Disney Cruise Line announced that they will start requiring proof of vaccination against COVID-19 for U.S. passengers boarding ships to the Bahamas next month.
Beginning September 3, 2021, passengers 12 and older must be fully vaccinated at least 14 days before boarding any ship heading to the Bahamas. The new rule will be in effect until November.
Disney says kids under the age of 12 will be exempt but will need to bring along proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken between five days and 24 hours before boarding, as well as a second test at the terminal.
The Bahamas issued an emergency order earlier this month and states they will require all cruise passengers 12 and older to show proof of vaccination.
