Grace Downgraded to Tropical Depression, No Threat to Florida

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – National Hurricane Center has downgraded Tropical Storm Grace to Tropical Depression Grace on Monday and poses no threat to Florida at this time.

Grace is carrying max sustained winds at 35 mph and moving to the west-northwest at 12 mph.

The center of Grace will move over or near the Tiburon Peninsula of Haiti this afternoon and tonight, and then pass between Jamaica, Cuba, and the Cayman Islands on Tuesday and Wednesday.

A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for…
* Entire coast of Haiti
* Jamaica
* Southern coast of the Cuban provinces of Ciego de Avila, Sancti
Spiritus, Cienfuegos, and Matanzas, as well as Isla de la Juventud.
