Jennifer Sugarman Announces Resignation From Cocoa Beach Chamber, Will Join Northrop Grumman

Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce President and Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Sugarman announced her resignation on Friday, and that she has accepted a new position with Northrop Grumman.

BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce President and Chief Executive Officer Jennifer Sugarman announced her resignation on Friday, and that she has accepted a new position with Aerospace and defense company Northrop Grumman.

Sugarman has led the chamber as president and CEO since 2015 after serving a stint as the director of the chamber’s Convention & Visitors Bureau for 15 months. She also previously worked for the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast for four years.

“This morning, the Chamber’s Executive Committee called a special Board meeting,” said Sugarman.

“At this meeting, I announced with a heavy heart and bittersweet feelings my resignation from the Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce. It has been an incredible honor to give my heart and soul to this organization over the past seven years, and I have found great fulfillment in being a part of such an incredible community and to work alongside our incredible group of professionals.

“This is not goodbye, this is I will see you soon, in my new role as senior principal site communications rep. for Northrop Grumman Company. I wish this Chamber and our network the very best for all the future has to offer. Thank you so much for your support of me as a leader over the years and I wish you and your business prosperity and success,” said Sugarman.

The Cocoa Beach Regional Chamber of Commerce, which has more than 1,500 members, was established in 1968 as a voice for Brevard’s business community and serves Cape Canaveral, Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Kennedy Space Center, Merritt Island, Patrick Air Force Base, Port St. John, Rockledge, Suntree, Palm Shores, Viera and Brevard County.

“It is with great sadness for the Chamber’s Board to see Jenn leave the chamber, but we also could not be more excited to see her continue to grow professionally while significantly contribute to our community,” said Jim Barfield, Chair of the CBRCC and President & CEO of Luke and Associates.

“Jenn is leaving the chamber in great shape, which is a significant accomplishment considering the challenges we’ve experienced over the past year and a half. From an extremely grateful community, I can speak for all of us in saying we are proud of her accomplishments and wish her well.”
