■ August 2 – 6
■ September 1 – 8
■ October 4 – 8
■ November 1 – 5
■ December 7 – 13

Street sweeping is important. If you consider the function of street sweeping, you may think it’s all about keeping the streets looking good and safe in terms of removing waste and debris. However, it actually plays a more important role in regards to the environment and our health.

Debris collected by street sweepers includes sediment, rubbish, metals, petroleum products and green waste. Regular street sweeping reduces the likelihood of any of these pollutants entering our stormwater systems.

By keeping the gutters and drains clear, also reduces the chances of pollutants entering our waterways, as well as reduces the chance of flooding in the event of heavy rains.

To help the City provide the best service to you and our waterways, while our contractor sweeps the streets, please park all vehicles in your driveway during the scheduled street sweeping days.
