Vehicle Fire on I-95 in Cocoa Causes Major Delays Thursday Morning

Fire personnel arrived on scene around 10:45 a.m.

BREVARD COUNTY • COCOA, FLORIDA – Brevard County Fire Rescue responded to a vehicle fire on I-95 near Cocoa Thursday morning that resulted in major traffic delays for motorists.

The crash happened around 10:45 a.m. near mile marker 197 and caused traffic to be backed up as far as 3 miles.

No people were injured in the fire.

Fire crews were able to successfully extinguish the blaze quickly, but had to close I-95 temporarily while crews worked to put out the fire.

Traffic is back to normal as of Thursday afternoon.
