BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Carrie Friday, Media Specialist at Brevard Public Schools’ Southwest Middle School has been selected to present at the 42nd National Future of Education Technology Conference, which will take place in Orlando next January.

For more than 40 years, the National Future of Education Technology Conference has gathered the most dynamic and innovative education leaders and professionals from around the world for an intensive, highly collaborative exploration of new technologies, best practices and pressing issues.

“I’m so incredibly honored to be selected to present a 2-hour workshop at a National Conference,” said Friday.

Friday’s workshop is entitled “Giving Students a Choice: Engagement and STEAM for All Curriculums.” This will be her second time presenting at the FETC conference.

This conference is known to educators and technologists as the best place to engage with the thought leaders and pioneers who are leading the charge in classrooms, schools and entire districts.

“It’s so amazing to me that the conference committee saw enough value in what’s working so incredibly well with our students at Southwest that they want to give provide an abundance of time to train others to use the same skills to build STEAM and choice into their classes.

“This is a big stage and it’s so exciting to get to go and represent The Great Southwest and Brevard Public Schools to such a large audience. I hope I make everyone proud,” said Friday.
